PWT CH Supports Major Modernisation
of Tejen Carbamide Plant
in Turkmenistan

PWT Industrial and Water Technology Group AG is proud to support the ongoing modernisation

of the Tejen Carbamide Plant, one of Turkmenistanโ€™s pioneering urea production facilities. Commissioned in 2005 in the city of Tejen, the plant was originally designed to produce

350,000 tons of urea per year, playing a crucial role in the nationโ€™s chemical industry.

In 2023, the State Concern Turkmenhimiya launched an international tender to renovate

and modernise the facility. The contract was awarded to Economic Society Turkmen Enjam,

PWTยดs long-term partner in Turkmenistan, which was appointed as the General Contractor

for the project.

The modernisation aims to restore the plantโ€™s full design capacity through comprehensive inspection, maintenance, and repair works.

Since the end of 2023, PWT Industrial and Water Technology Group AG has been providing engineering, procurement, and logistical support to Turkmen Enjam,

ensuring the efficient implementation of this large-scale initiative.

PWTโ€™s responsibilities include coordinating technical services, supplying advanced equipment,

and supervising installation and commissioning activities.

As part of the project, PWT has facilitated the delivery of state-of-the-art systems and components from globally recognised manufacturers, including Thyssenkrupp UHDE, Stamicarbon, Emerson, Mitsubishi, Yokogawa, KSB, and others.

A key logistical milestone was the transportation of a 140-ton steam boiler supplied

by Babcock & Wilcox (USA),

one of the regionโ€™s most significant industrial cargo deliveries in recent years.

The Tejen Urea Plant modernisation project is progressing on schedule and is expected to be fully commissioned next year, marking a significant advancement in Turkmenistanโ€™s industrial modernisation and production efficiency.
